The way that this will impact an agency's effectiveness is to influence individual views about the department, command structures and policies / procedures. Quality of Work Life: The quality of work life will affect the levels of job satisfaction inside a law enforcement agency. This will influence everyone's behavior by impacting their ability to perform various tasks. For example, those police departments that have a poor track record in these areas will not achieve crucial objectives. This is because the atmosphere allows certain practices to develop that could undermine the confidence of stakeholders in the department. As they feel that officers are unresponsive to their needs and do not care about what is happening. This will impact their ability to address emergencies and critical challenges. In the future, this could make the police department slow to deal with critical issues. This is when it will be more difficult to control crime in different areas. (Herbert, 1998)
